About 20km South of Durban in KwaZulu Natal – South Africa (SA), lies a town with a fascinating mix of cultures and a unique history, the beach town Known as Isipingo. This is the same beach town, that gave us one of it’s son’s Mr. Ighsaan Osman. From the age of 5years, He grew up in Jazz ancestral roots from his uncle and grandfather, being in a band, which would inevitable overwhelm his feeble mind, to an ever consciously fathom. It was at time when SA was also on the curve on new revolutionary genres called Kwaito, which furthered his appetite to music, with an indulgent to the sounds of B.O.P, Trompies, Arthur, and Mdu, etc. The above history, curved and invigorated the thus DJ, who is affectionately known as DJ Menace.s.

DJ Menace’s immaculate dress sense and a careful selection of sound waves, that control the minds and bodies of his audience, journey back to his early days at a club in Dakota beach called ‘Intrigue’ then expanded to club ’Pharaohs’ in Amanzimtoti (SA). The Nineteen nineties, then, favored the few talented DJ’s that maintained precision on Vinyl mixing and understood of house music, at which DJ Menaces’ skill secured him residency at Groove nightclub in Durban. His craft echoed and aroused the curiosity of more clubs, at which in years to come, he musical expression of house music, was welcomed by clubs including, Skyybar, Plush, Panama room, Max Lifestyle, Eyadini, Nuz Vegas Lounge, Vacca Matta, Angelos, Tilt, H2O, Reform, Dela Sol, Ftv, News Café etc “Music can change the world.” Ludwig van Beethoven The airwaves of ‘Gagasi FM’ would then follow suite to host DJ Menace as one of their regular DJ’s. His live mixed would also be a pleasurable menace on Ukhozi FM, Good Hope FM and endorsed Legends like Glen Lewis on Radio 2000.

DJ Menace emerged with revitalizing sessions of Old Classics & Soulful House, Hip – Hop and Kwaito tunes, that had a flair of futuristic perception-shifting mixing, that taps into a wider consciousness of his audience. His predilection and passion to music, would over the coming years, plugged his profile, to gigs including, Umgababa beach festival, Aqua festival, Midmar dam festival, Brics beach festival, Durban tourism Indaba etc. Whilst he startle judges in DJ competitions, like the Red Square DJ Knock Out to Viceroy Makoya mix, with his ability to mix WITHOUT headphones. DJ Menace musical tapestries further affirmed his status, affording him the privilege of sharing the stage with the likes of the DJ Tira, DJ Soxx, DJ Bongz, Dj Fresh, DJ Euphonik, DJ Shimza, DJ Kent, DJ Clock, Sphectacular, Naves, DJ Black Coffee, DJ Milkshake etc. To date, he has taken to relocate to the mother city” – Cape Town, for no other reason, but continue with his Menace.
